Saw the doctor.

All is well. I gained some more weight and baby is quite active. She/he was on one side, when the doctor put the doppler on my stomach, she/he flipped, then when the doctor moved the doppler, baby moved again. lmao What a stinker. Heartbeat sounds great and is still possibly one of the best sounds in the world. My doctor is ticked with Walgreens because they had screwed up my prescription for vitamins. She actually told me that I shouldn't use them at all. I've been having wicked heartburn, but I don't like to take Tums because they make me gag, so she gave me a prescription for Pepcid. I wonder if all the burn means that the baby will have a lot of hair.

Here is some information on a 31 week fetus:
Baby: Your baby measures about 18 inches long from head to toe and weighs about 3.5 pounds. Rather than hearing vibrations, baby's nerve endings in his ears are connected now so that he can hear distinct sounds, like familiar voices and music. *I can attest to that. Poor baby has been startled a few times by loud noises causing her/him to jump.*
I've already started making a mental list of things I need to bring with to the hospital and things I have to buy. I should start putting it down on paper or my pregnancy memory is going to forget it all.
Here is a picture I took last week.

Saw the doctor yesterday.

Now I will start going every two weeks, I can't believe we are already at this point. Maybe we should start thinking of names...... Anyway, I gained two pounds so that means I weigh a whole 4 pounds more than I did at my first appointment. Baby is doing good and measuring right on target. My doctor is a little concerned because I am so far from the hospital (withou traffic 30 minutes , with traffic who knows) and none of my labors have lasted long. The longest was my first and that was about 8 hours, my second child was about six hours, but I didn't even know I was in labor until I was 6 centimeters dilated and my last was about 5 1/2 hours so each time my labors have gotten shorter. She just kept saying that we need to make a plan so you don't deliver on the side of the road. LOL! I told her thanks because my husband has already voiced some concerns over that. She said that if at 40 weeks I still have not delivered that they would induce. I told her that if she felt I should go a little earlier I had no problems with that, but she just laughed. Hey lady, I was serious! I have this feeling though it is going to be one of my routine visits and they will just send me straight to the hospital from there. I also don't think I'm going to go to my due date. My second child was 3 weeks early and I had said during the pregnancy that I wasn't going to go to my due date. Maybe it is just wishful thinking this time. I'm hating enjoying the horrible back pain, waddling, leg crampos at 3 am, and constant exhaustion. In the end though, it will all be worth it because as a friend recently said "there is nothing like the new baby smell to make up for a 2 am feeding." Amen sister. I don't know what I am looking forward to more, that baby smell or those wonderful tiny little noises they make. Ahh The baby is quite the mover and has already headbutted my cervix a few times so I get that sharp pain that actually makes you gasp out loud. (Anyone who has ever been pregnant knows what I am talking about.) No belly picture this week, my camera battery is dead. Here is some information on a 29 week old fetus.
Your baby now weighs about 2 1/2 pounds and is a tad over 15 inches long from head to heel. His muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and his head is growing bigger to make room for his developing brain. To meet his increasing nutritional demands, you'll need plenty of protein, vitamins C, folic acid, and iron. And because his bones are soaking up lots of calcium, be sure to drink your milk. This trimester, about 250 milligrams of calcium are deposited in your baby's hardening skeleton each day.
